Experience the ultimate sweet and salty delight with my Popcorn Pretzel Slice. Combining the irresistible crunch of pretzels and the light, airy texture of popcorn, all enveloped in rich, velvety melted chocolate, this treat is a flavour sensation. With only four simple ingredients, it's the perfect recipe to whip up with the kids during the holidays. Enjoy a fun, easy, and deliciously satisfying snack that everyone will love!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup popcorn kernels, popped (or 1x80g bag pre-popped popcorn)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 75g pretzels, lightly crushed
- 1x290g bag milk choc melts
- 10g coconut oil/copha
Instructions
- Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
- Place the chocolate melts and coconut oil/copha in a small glass bowl and put in the microwave. Cook on medium heat for 1 minute. Stir. Continue at 30 second intervals until just melted.
- Spread popcorn over the tray. If using fresh popcorn, lightly sprinkle with salt (you don’t want too much, just a light dusting)
- Sprinkle crushed pretzels over the popcorn and lightly shake the tray.
- Pour melted chocolate over the top of the popcorn & pretzels. Using a sweeping motion move left to right, up and down. Be sure to scrape out any leftover melted chocolate with a spatula and cover any bare spots. Tap the tray lightly on the bench to allow the chocolate to go through to the bottom of the popcorn. Give it a little shake to further disperse the chocolate.
- Place in the fridge until the chocolate has hardened. This will be about 1 hour.
- Remove the tray from the fridge and break up the slice using your hands as you do with chocolate bark. You can break pieces up into any size you like. You can also use a sharp knife to cut it into pieces if you wish.
