Ingredients

Air Fryer
  • 2 crumpets (I use the square crumpets but round ones can also be used)
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

Air Fryer
  1. Stir the melted butter, caster sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Preheat the air fryer 180ºC for 3 minutes.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut the crumpets in 4 fingers. You can serve crumpet churros sticks if you wish, or you can cut the fingers in half (which I did) or you can cut them into cubes.
  4. Dip each crumpet strip into the cinnamon mixture and set aside on a clean plate and continue with each remaining crumpet piece.
  5. Once all crumpet strips have been dipped in the cinnamon mixture, place in the air fryer in one layer.
  6. Cook for 7-8 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool for 1 minute. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve with your favourite dipping sauce (chocolate sauce, caramel sauce or Nutella)
Oven Baked
  1. Preheat the oven 180ºC and line a baking tray with baking paper
  2. Stir the melted butter, caster sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.
  3. Place the crumpets on a clean cutting board and using a sharp knife, cut the crumpets in 4 fingers. You can serve crumpet churros sticks if you wish, or you can cut the fingers in half (which I did) or you can cut them into cubes.
  4. Dip each crumpet strip into the cinnamon mixture and place on the lined baking tray in one layer. Continue with each remaining crumpet piece.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool for 1 minute. Lightly sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and serve with your favourite dipping sauce (chocolate sauce, caramel sauce or Nutella)
